Hi there! I'm glad you've stopped by. I'm a native Texan who wears many hats, none of them cowboy: public librarian, manuscript consultant, book critic, blogger, writer, and book lover. Since 2009, I've been one half of the book blog Stacked, where my co-blogger and I focus on insightful, critical reviews of children’s and YA releases as well as thoughtful and interesting articles on other book-related topics.

A few facts about me:

• I wrote a full-length (ish) Wizard of Oz book with my father when I was a pre-teen. It involved a purple pterodactyl named Pete.

• My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw, though I admit I have a few Slytherin tendencies.

• You can't see it, but the book I'm reading in the header photo is Relish by Lucy Knisley.
